To Cross An Ocean: The Tran Family Memoir by Tom & Amanda Sugimura

This memoir is based on Amanda’s interview of her parents about their life in Vietnam and told through the voice of her father. We conducted these conversations over a period of five years to follow her father’s journey from childhood to adulthood, through the Vietnam War, then as a refugee to the United States of America. By remembering these stories, we hope to connect the generations past with those of the future.

Dr. Tom Sugimura serves as a pastor, church planting mentor, ACBC fellow, and adjunct professor of biblical counseling.
