About: How Do I Look?

You know that no matter what anybody says, appearance matters - at least to everyone you know. But is it just about choosing the right hair and clothes? Or underneath are you wondering if you will be accepted by this person or not be lumped in that group of people? Sometimes you wonder who you really are.

Susan Lutz helps you understand the bigger issues that drive your questions about appearance and shows you how trusting in Jesus for a new identity gives you the power to let go of anxiety and become your truest, best self - a dearly loved daughter of God.  Includes study questions suitable for youth and other small groups.

About the Author

Author Susan Lutz is a counselor, editor, pastor’s wife, conference speaker, mother of three, and grandmother of five. After graduating from Penn State, Sue studied biblical counseling at the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF), where she counseled for fifteen years and helped to develop a line of gospel-centered biblical counseling minibooks. She now counsels privately and at her home church, New Life Presbyterian Church of Dresher, Pennsylvania.

Susan Lutz sums up her discipleship and biblical counseling ministry like this: “When you let God tell you who you are and what you are worth, you become the person Jesus died to make you. You become your best, truest self as you give your life to him. And you are free from the fears and insecurities that come from letting other people control you.”

Sue’s husband Ron is pastor of New Life Presbyterian Church, which they started in 1987. Being involved in ministry for most of her life has allowed her to see the many ways we need Jesus in our lives—and the many ways he brings wholeness, hope, healing, and purpose when we entrust our lives to him.
