We all want to be happy but that is not easy to achieve. The problem is that we think only getting more of what this world has to offer, we can have happiness. The apostle Paul had a very different attitude. Paul wrote: "I have learned to be content with what I have. I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound: in everything and for everything I have learned ... (Phi.4 :11-12) The apostle had learned the secret of contentment, regardless of their location or circumstances. God is the only source of true happiness. God does not need anything or anyone to make you happy, even before the world was, the three persons of the Trinity were in complete happiness. God makes believers to be happy, just as He is. This is necessary because believers are not strong enough and good to be happy themselves. God gives them everything they need as John wrote: From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace" (John 1: 16). Then the believers may be always happy, because even if they have very little of what this world offers, have spiritual blessings from God. In Christ we have all the things they need.
