The issue of stigmatization pierces deeply into the identity of an individual person. Forgiveness in Jesus Christ provides the once addicted believer with a new identity—one who is no longer stigmatized by past choices and behaviors (2 Corinthians 5:17-21). The biblical approach to addiction provides hope, practical help, and an incredible new life in Christ.
